University of Dubuque Takes Lead After First 18 Holes of the 2026 A-R-C Men's Golf Championship

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- After 18 holes of the 2025 American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Men's Golf Championship, the University of Dubuque holds a nine shot lead over Central College after firing an impressive round of 287 to open the championship. Luke Harwick led the way for the Spartans posting an impressive 67, including back-to-back birdies to finish the evening. Harwick holds a two shot lead over the field. Harwick tied the championship record for low 18-hole round. 

Second round tee times are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow with all teams teeing off No. 1 with the first wave including Coe, Loras, and Simpson. The second wave will begin at 9:45 a.m. with Nebraska Wesleyan, Wartburg, and Buena Vista. The third and find wave begins at 10:30 a.m. with UD, Central, and Luther.

Monitor the weather for tomorrow's round as strong storms are expected to enter Iowa. All weather updates will be communicated via social media, the championship microsite, and Clippd.
