Wartburg Earns Highest GPA Amongst Division III Schools; Simpson Named to WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll

Central, Dubuque, and Luther Earn Special Mention

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) recently announced their Academic Team Honor Roll for the 2022-23 academic year. Wartburg and Simpson represented the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) in the Top 25. The A-R-C saw five schools mentioned. 
 
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II, and III, NAIA, and two-year GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2022-23 season is the 28th season in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls. 
 
The Knights ranked first among all NCAA Division III schools while maintaining a 3.872 team GPA for the 2022-23 academic year under head coach Bob Amsberry
 
The Simpson Storm earned 22nd among all Division III schools and maintained a 3.680 team GPA under head coach Brian Niemuth
