CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) is proud ot announce five outstanding student-athletes as institutional nominees for the 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year. Central College’s Addison Parrott, University of Dubuque’s Morgan Hawkins, Loras College’s Sara Hoskins, Luther College’s Kailey Jones, and Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Avery Decker are this year’s institutional nominees.
Each year, NCAA member schools are encouraged to celebrate their top graduating female student-athletes by nominating them for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award. Up to two female student-athletes can be recognized from each school if at least one of them is an international student-athlete or student-athlete of color. Conference offices will then select up to two student-athletes from their member school nominations. The Woman of the Year Selection Committee will then select 10 student-athletes from each division, determining the Top 30 honorees. Of the Top 30, the Woman of the Year Selection Committee will announce nine finalists, three from each NCAA division. The NCAA Committee on Women’s Athletics will receive the finalists and name the 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year.
The Top 30 honorees will be celebrated, and the Woman of the Year will be named at the NCAA Convention. The 2026 Convention will take place in January in Washington, DC.

Addison Parrott, Central College
Parrott was a dual sport student-athlete in cross country and track & field during her career at Central College. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology with a minor in religious studies. She maintained a 3.86 grade point average while competing for the Dutch.
Parrott is a three-time first-team All-American, with two honors coming in track & field and one in cross country. Within the league, Parrott won the 2024 A-R-C Cross Country Championships and added nine other all-conference honors during her career.
Outside of athletics, Parrott was actively involved in the community and on campus. She was the co-president of the psychology club and Psi Chi. She interned at Crisis Intervention Services and Heartland Christian Counseling while also serving as a psychology supplemental instructor.
Morgan Hawkins, University of Dubuque
Hawkins was a dual sport student-athlete in golf and basketball at UD. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in education and physical education teaching with a cumulative grade point average of 3.93.
Hawkins made a name for herself on the course and on the court while at UD. On the course, she was the A-R-C Golfer of the Year in 2024 as securing medalist honors at the conference championship as she led her Spartan team to yet another team title to advance to the NCAA National Championship. She earned top-10 honors on three occasions at the conference championship during her career. Following up on the court, she earned all-conference honors in 2024-25 and honorable mention honors in 2022-23.
Off the course and court, Hawkins was involved in the Dubuque community. She has assisted with youth in learning the games of basketball and golf, has served breakfast at the local food pantry in Dubuque, and has led activities at local elementary schools in the area as she prepares to enter the classroom. She was involved with SAAC and served as the SAAC social media manager in 2025.
Sara Hoskins, Loras College
Hoskins was a dual sport student-athlete in track & field and volleyball at Loras. She graduated with a cumulative grade point average of 3.64 while studying mechanical engineering and data science with minors in computer science, physics, and mathematics.
After the 2024 volleyball season, Hoskins was recognized as the defensive player of the year in the league while also earning all-region honors in volleyball. In track & field, Hoskins won the 2025 indoor high jump conference title. She was honored as the Duhawk Female Breakthrough Athlete of the Year in 2024. Hoskins earned all-conference six times during her career.
Even as busy as it is to be actively involved in athletics year-round, Hoskins stayed busy in the community and campus, too. She served as student government president during the 2024-25 academic year and was involved with student government from 2022-25. She coached middle school students in various track events at the Pleasant Valley Track Camp and was a peer advisor on campus.
Kailey Jones, Luther College
Jones graduated from Luther with a 3.96 cumulative grade point average with a nursing degree.
Jones was a 2025 Jostens Trophy Finalist. She was the first player in Norse history to score 1,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds. She currently holds all three rebounding records at Luther (career rebounds - 1,144, rebounds in a game - 24, and rebounds in a season - 345). Additionally, she ranks fifth all-time in scoring, fourth in career field goals, and leads career free-throw percentage. Jones earned all-conference honors four times during her career.
Off the court, Jones was involved in the Luther Student Nursing Association, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She volunteered at a Free Dermatology Clinic, the Free Clinic in Decorah, in a kindergarten classroom, at youth basketball camps, and at a food pantry.
Avery Decker, Nebraska Wesleyan University
Decker graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan with an undergraduate degree in biology with minors in chemistry and modern language literacy. She graduated with a cumulative grade point average of 3.74.
Decker is a four-time first-team All-American in the javelin, improving each year in her performance. She began earning seventh place in 2022 and eventually earned the honor of national champion in 2025 to conclude her career. She currently holds the A-R-C conference championship meet record and all-time record in the javelin.
In the community, Decker served as a medical scribe during the 2024-25 academic year. She was involved with Special Olympics, Tabitha Meals on Wheels, Huge-NWU Honor Society, SAAAC, Delta Zeta Sorority, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Nationally respected for excellence in NCAA Division III athletics, the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) has a tradition dating back to its founding in 1922 as the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Association and adopted its current name in 2018 to reflect its strong Iowa roots and growing regional footprint. The A-R-C is a collaborative community that champions the holistic development of student-athletes, uniting member institutions in a shared commitment to academic achievement, athletic distinction, and leadership.
