CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The University of Dubuque women’s golf team is making its fourth appearance at the NCAA Division III Championships as the automatic qualifiers from the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C).
The Spartans never waivered throughout the A-R-C championship and finished the job with the lowest round posted in the final round, 315. UD was led by Morgan Hawkins, the school’s fifth medalist in program history. Hawkins never gave up her lead throughout the championship. She fired rounds of 75-81-76 to claim medalist honors. Hawkins earned the title of 2024 A-R-C Most Valuable Golfer for her performance in the fall.
The Spartans are guided by head coach, Dustin Bierman, who was named Coach of the Year. This was Bierman’s fifth coach of the year honor in his career.
The 2025 championship is set to take place May 13-16 at Kingsmill Resort & Spa in Williamsburg, Virginia.

The Conference dates back to December 8, 1922, when representatives from 12 colleges got together and formed the "Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Association." Honoring its heritage in Iowa and its expansion outside the state, the American Rivers Conference brand was established on August 9, 2018, to build on the academic and athletic success provided by its legacy, the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The A-R-C has nine full-time members: Buena Vista University, Central College, Coe College, University of Dubuque, Loras College, Luther College, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Simpson College, and Wartburg College.
