Dubuque Wins Fifth A-R-C Women’s Golf Title in Six Years

AMES, Iowa – The University of Dubuque secured its fifth American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) title in the last six years after firing a 315 in the final round to best the field by eight shots. Central College finished runner-up with a 977 total. Dubuque’s Morgan Hawkins is taking home individual medalist honors after posting a three-round total of 232.

 The Spartans never waivered throughout the championship and finished the job with the lowest round posted in the final round, 315. Dubuque was led by Hawkins, the school’s fifth medalist in program history. Hawkins never gave up her lead throughout the championship. She fired rounds of 75-81-76 to claim medalist honors. Hawkins earned the title of 2024 A-R-C Most Valuable Golfer for her performance.

Dustin Bierman of the University of Dubuque is the Coach of the Year, as voted on by the league’s head coaches. He is earning this honor for the fifth time in his career.

 Dubuque earned the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championship, which will take place in the spring. 
 
A new edition this academic year is Rookie of the Year which is presented to a true freshman who finishes the best at the championship. Allie Pfantz of Central College earned this honor after finishing runner-up at this year’s championship. Her three-round total was 234.

 All-Conference is presented to the top-ten finishers while Honorable Mention goes to places 11 through 15.
