WAVERLY, Iowa – The competitive cheer and dance teams from the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) took to the floor of Levick Arena on the campus of Wartburg College for the 2024 A-R-C Competitive Cheer and Dance Championships. This year’s overall dance conference champion is the Central College Dutch. The winner of the competitive cheer invitational is the Wartburg College Knights.

The A-R-C Competitive Dance Conference Champion is decided by an average score from the pom and jazz routines. Additionally, divisional winners are crowned in each of the three divisions: poms, jazz, and hip-hop. Earning the overall A-R-C Dance Conference Championship title, the Dutch swept all three categories.

The A-R-C Competitive Cheer Champion is decided by the score of the 2.5-minute routine. With less than the required minimum number of teams competing (5) in this event, the A-R-C Competitive Cheer competition was held as an invitational this year. The 2024 A-R-C Competitive Cheer Invitational Champion is the Wartburg College Knights.

Both Central and Wartburg are repeating their champion honors from the 2023 season.
