CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced today the fall sport members of its 2022 All-Academic Team. Five hundred and seventy-seven student-athletes from the conference’s eight fall championship sports met the requirements for recognition.
 
To be eligible for the A-R-C All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
 
Wartburg College led the way in total honorees with 93 student-athletes earning All-Academic recognition. Central College placed the second-highest total on the fall team with 77, followed by Nebraska Wesleyan University with 72 honorees. University of Dubuque and Simpson each had 69 student-athletes earn honors. Loras College had the sixth-most honorees with 65 followed by Luther College with 63. Coe College placed 43 student-athletes on the team for the eighth-highest total, followed by Buena Vista University with 27 honorees.
 
Football led all sports with 108 honorees, followed closely by women’s soccer with 106 honorees. Volleyball had the third-most honorees with 78, followed closely by men’s soccer with 78 student-athletes picking up the honor. Men’s cross country placed 71 student-athletes on the team while women’s cross country saw 63 earn honors. Women’s tennis had 40 student-athletes collect All-Academic accolades and women’s golf rounded out the fall sports honorees with 34.
