CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced that Wartburg College wrestler Zane Mulder (Grimes, Iowa/Dallas Center-Grimes) and women’s basketball player Cameron Kincaid (Olathe, Kan./Olathe East) have been named American Rivers Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 24, 2021. The Conference also announced Performers of the Week in men’s and women’s basketball, and wrestling.  
Female Athlete of the Week – Women’s Basketball – Player of the Week
Cameron Kincaid, Simpson College
Sr., Olathe, Kan./Olathe East

• Kincaid dropped a career-high with 26 points in Simpson’s season-opening win at Coe on Saturday.
• The Storm downed the Kohawks 79-56 in their first game of the 2020-21 season.
• The senior shot 11-for-18 from the floor in just her second time scoring 20+ points in a game.
• The forward also collected five rebounds and three steals, in 34 minutes of action.
• This marks Kincaid’s first-career Female Athlete of the Week and Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors.

 
Male Athlete of the Week – Wrestling – Wrestler of the Week
Zane Mulder, Wartburg College
Jr., Grimes, Iowa/Dallas Center-Grimes

• Mulder helped guide the Knights to a 37-6 conference opener win over Dubuque on Saturday.
• The junior earned a 16-4 major decision victory over the NWCA No. 7-ranked 165lbs. wrestler, Zarik Anderson.
• The last Wartburg wrestler to earn the award was Kyle Briggs on Feb. 3, 2020.
• Mulder is earning his first-career Wrestler of the Week honor.

 
Men’s Basketball – Player of the Week
Michael Demers, Buena Vista University
Sr., Storm Lake, Iowa/St. Mary’s

• Demers scored all 21 of his points in the second half in the 82-78 BVU win over Wartburg on Saturday.
• The Storm Lake, Iowa native converted two free throws with 1.6 seconds remaining to secure the Beavers win on the road.
• For the 22^nd time in his career, the senior made at least three 3-pointers in a game.
• This marks Demers first-career men’s basketball player of the week honors.
