The 2026-27 academic year marks Hannah Halverson’s sixth year with the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C). Halverson joined the conference office on July 1, 2021 as the Ethnic Minority and Women’s intern and was elevated to Deputy Commissioner on June 1, 2022.
As Deputy Commissioner, Halverson oversees the conference championships and is actively involved in compliance operations while supporting administration for the conference’s 24 sports. Additionally, she serves as a liaison to the A-R-C Championships Committee that is spearheading strategic initiatives by expanding opportunities and recognition for student-athletes.
Halverson has spearheaded and assisted a variety of NCAA postseason events hosted by the conference, including the 2022 and 2026 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships, the 2022 and 2023 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship, and the 2024 and 2025 NCAA Division III Wrestling Regional Tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Halverson will also serve as an assistant tournament director for the 2027 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Final Four.
During her time with the A-R-C, Halverson has served the NCAA Division III in a variety of capacities. She served as the NCAA site representative for a variety of postseason contests: 2024 NCAA Division III Baseball Regionals at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, 2024 NCAA Division III Football Championship first round at Bethel University, 2024 NCAA Division III Football Championship second round at Wartburg College, 2024 NCAA Division III Football third round at Wartburg College, 2025 NCAA Division III Wrestling Region VI Tournament in Cedar Rapids, 2025 NCAA Division III Football second round at Bethel University, and 2026 NCAA Division III Wrestling Region VI Tournament in Dubuque. Halverson is also an active member in Women Leaders in Sports.
Halverson began a four-year term on the NCAA Division III Men’s Wrestling Committee in September 2024. She will serve as chair of that committee starting in September 2026.
A native of Janesville, Wisconsin and 2017 graduate of Craig High School, Halverson earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Luther College in 2021. While at Luther, Halverson was a four-year member of the softball program, earning All-Conference honors and NFCA Scholar Athlete. She also served as a student assistant in the sports information department.
