The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Media Internship provides students from the conference’s eight member institutions with hands-on experience covering conference championship events. This opportunity is designed for students interested in athletic communications, photography, videography, and social media while gaining real-world experience in a collegiate conference office environment.
Interns will be assigned to predetermined A-R-C championship sites to assist with event coverage and create engaging digital content that showcases the student-athlete experience and promotes the A-R-C brand. Interns will work alongside conference staff and campus communications professionals while expanding their portfolios and professional networks. Interns will be assigned to championship events within reasonable proximity of their home campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality photography and videography at assigned A-R-C championship events.
- Create engaging social media content that aligns with the A-R-C brand and enhances championship coverage.
- Remain current with emerging social media trends and best practices in digital storytelling.
- Professionally represent the A-R-C.
Qualifications:
- Current student at one of the eight A-R-C institutions.
- Interest in communications, social media, or working in college athletics.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Creative mindset with an eagerness to learn and receive feedback.
- Ability to travel to assigned championship sites, as determined by the conference.
