2025 A-R-C Softball Tournament Begins Tomorrow, May 9

Simpson College to Host as No. 1 Seed

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The 2025 American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Softball Tournament will be held Friday-Saturday, May 9-10 at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. The Storm earned the No. 1 seed and the right to host after claiming a share of the 2025 A-R-C regular season title. 
 
The top-seeded Storm and second-seeded Wartburg College Knights will receive the first-round byes. First round games will feature fourth-seeded Loras College and fifth-seeded Central College at 5:30p with the winner drawing the Storm in the semifinals. The late first round game features third-seeded Nebraska Wesleyan and sixth-seeded Luther at 8:00p, with the winner moving on to face the Knights. 

In the latest NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings, Simpson leads the charge at No. 20 followed by Central at No. 35 and Wartburg at No. 39. Rounding out the top-50 for the A-R-C is Nebraska Wesleyan at No. 48. In the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Coaches Poll, Simpson sits as the lone team nationally ranked at No. 21.

Game 2 - 8:00p - No. 3  Nebraska Wesleyan vs. No. 6 Luther
 
Saturday, May 10
Game 3 - 1:00p - No. 1 Simpson vs. Winner Game 1
Game 4 - 3:30p - No. 2  Wartburg vs. Winner Game 2
Game 5 - 6:00p - Championship Game
 
If needed, Sunday will be used as a rain date.
