CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced today its 2024-25 All-Conference Women’s Wrestling Team and major award winners, the inaugural honors. Headlining the announcement as American Rivers Conference Most Valuable Performer is University of Dubuque’s Alex Hofrichter. UD’s head coach, Dennis Hall, was voted A-R-C Coach of the Year, and Wartburg College’s Jasmine Luedtke was selected as Rookie of the Year.
The 29-member team is composed of the top-three A-R-C place-winners at the 2025 A-R-C Championship that took place on January 25 at Loras College. The wrestler or wrestlers who finished the highest at the NCWWC Championship are deemed American Rivers Conference Most Valuable Performer(s), while Rookie and Coach of the Year are voted on by the league’s head coaches.
Most Valuable Performer - Alex Hofrichter, 160lbs., So., University of Dubuque
Hofrichter finished the season as the highest-place finisher in the American Rivers Conference at the 2025 NCWWC National Championship. She finished in seventh place as an All-American in the 160-pound weight class. Hofrichter finished second place at the inaugural A-R-C Women’s Wrestling Championship and third at the NCWWC Regional. She finished her sophomore campaign with a 32-6 record.
Rookie of the Year - Jasmine Luedtke, 117lbs., Fr., Ottumwa, Iowa/Ottumwa
Luedtke earned Rookie of the Year following the inaugural season of women’s wrestling in the American Rivers Conference. She took third at the D3 National Invite and third at the NCWWC Regional to qualify for the NCWWC National Championship. She finished her freshman season with a 26-8 record, posting five tech falls and 17 falls at the 117-pound weight class.
Coach of the Year - Dennis Hall, University of Dubuque
In his second season as the head coach of the women’s program at the University of Dubuque and third season overall with the UD wrestling programs, Dennis Hall was voted the league’s Coach of the Year for the first time in his career during the inaugural season of women’s wrestling in the A-R-C. Hall coached two All-Americans this season to lead the A-R-C.
The American Rivers All-Conference team is made up of 11 from Simpson College, ten from Wartburg College, three from Buena Vista University and the University of Dubuque, and two from Loras College.

About the American Rivers Conference
The Conference dates back to December 8, 1922, when representatives from 12 colleges got together and formed the "Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Association." Honoring its heritage in Iowa and its expansion outside the state, the American Rivers Conference brand was established on August 9, 2018, to build on the academic and athletic success provided by its legacy, the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The A-R-C has nine full-time members: Buena Vista University, Central College, Coe College, University of Dubuque, Loras College, Luther College, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Simpson College, and Wartburg College.
