CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The track and field student-athletes of NCAA Division III will make their way to Rochester, New York this weekend for the division’s annual championship meet. Several American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) student-athletes will enter the meet as favorites for All-America honors and maybe stand atop the podium as national champions. A total of 62 A-R-C entries from eight institutions look to cap their indoor seasons with memorable performances. Golisano Training Center is the venue with Nazareth University and Rochester NY Sports Commission as the host entity.

The Loras College women are looking to defend their national title this weekend. The Duhawks currently sit No. 6 in the most recent USTFCCCA national rankings, released on March 11. Loras claimed their fourth-straight conference championship title.

On the men’s side, Wartburg College is ranked nationally the highest in the A-R-C at No. 10. The Knights claimed their 12th A-R-C Indoor Track & Field Championship title a few weeks ago on their home track.

About the American Rivers Conference
The Conference dates back to December 8, 1922, when representatives from 12 colleges got together and formed the "Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Association." Honoring its heritage in Iowa and its expansion outside the state, the American Rivers Conference brand was established on August 9, 2018, to build on the academic and athletic success provided by its legacy, the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The A-R-C has nine full-time members: Buena Vista University, Central College, Coe College, University of Dubuque, Loras College, Luther College, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Simpson College, and Wartburg College.
