CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Luther College Norse women and men took home both team trophies at the 2025 American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Swimming & Diving Championships.
The Women's Swimmer of the Meet went to Anna Durak of Loras College and the Men's Swimmer of the Meet went to Kevin Kretz of Luther College. The Women's Diver of the Meet went to Ella Rowley of Luther College and the Men's Diver of the Meet went to Colin Halverson of Luther College. New this year is the Rookie of the Year honor, the Women's Rookie of the Year went to Annabelle Pollock of Luther College and the Men's Rookie of the Year went to Kamen Rangelov of Coe College. The Women's and Men's Coaching Staff of the Year went to Luther College and head coach Aaron Zander.

Women’s Day 3 Key Highlights:
- Anna Durak of Loras continued her impressive showing in the day three finals as she recorded another A-R-C Championship meet record and NCAA B-Cut in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:00.73.
- Nebraska Wesleyan's Sydney Leslie set a new A-R-C Championship record in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:07.97.
- As the night concluded in the pool, the Nebraska Wesleyan 400 freestyle relay quad set a new A-R-C Championship record in a time of 3:32.40. The relay included Bea Massa Micon, Lili Spady, Elena Lazzaretto, and Lydi O'Neil.
Men’s Day 3 Key Highlights:
- Zachary Cantorna kicked things off for Nebraska Wesleyan in the 1650 freestyle relay with a new A-R-C Championship record with a time of 16:16.25.
- Kevin Kretz continued his dominance with another A-R-C Championship record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 45.98.
- Kamen Rangelov found wall in a new A-R-C Championship record and NCAA B-Cut in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:01.06.
- Colin Halverson established a new A-R-C Championship reocrd in the 3m diving event with a dive-total of 510.50.
Women’s Day 2 Key Highlights:

Nebraska Wesleyan’s Ava Hunt recorded a new A-R-C Championship meet record in the 100 breaststroke prelims with a time of 1:07.09.

Anna Durak of Loras followed up her day one performance with another A-R-C Championship record and NCAA B-Cut in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.21.

The women's finals started off with a bang with yet another A-R-C Championship record in the 200 medley relay by Nebraska Wesleyan with a time of 1:47.45. The relay team consisted of Lilly Brennan, Ava Hunt, Bea Massa Micon, and Lydi O'Neil.

The women's finals ended with a A-R-C Championship record for the P-Wolves with a time of 7:56.84 in the 800 freestyle relay. Bea Massa Micon, Lili Spady, Elena Lazzaretto, and Lydi O'Neil made up the relay quad.

In the morning prelims, Loras’ Anna Durak set a new A-R-C Championship record, A-R-C All-Time record, and Coe College pool record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:05.61. She additionally hit the NCAA B-Cut in this swim.

Mia Prater of Luther hit the NCAA B-Cut in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.47 during prelims. This additionally set a new pool record at Coe College.

To begin the finals session, the quad of P-Wolves set a new A-R-C Championship record and A-R-C All-Time record in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:35.90. This relay consisted of Bea Massa Micon, Hannah Gibbs, Elena Lazzaretto, and Lydi O'Neil.

In the finals in the 200 IM, Duark reset her conference championship record with a time of 2:03.77.

To end the night on the women's side, the Nebraska Wesleyan 400 medley relay team hit the wall in 3:58.40 to set a new A-R-C Championship record. The relay team is Lilly Brennan, Ava Hunt, Sydney Leslie, and Lydi O'Neil.

In the morning prelims, Luther’s Kevin Kretz broke the A-R-C Championship record, Coe College pool record, and Luther College school record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.57.

Nebraska Wesleyan freshman, Zachary Cantorna, set a new A-R-C Championship record in the prelims with a time of 4:42.76 in the 500 freestyle.

To jump into the finals session, the Luther 200 freestyle relay squad posted a new A-R-C Championship record with a time of 1:25.27. The relay team consisted of Kevin Kretz, Nico Shrestha, Noah Cochran, and Simon Argue.

In the 500 freestyle finals, Cantorna reset his championship record with a time of 4:40.89.

Mattia Rosatelli of Nebraska Wesleyan reset his championship record from last year in the finals session with a time of 1:53.01 in the 200 IM.

The men's finals ended with another championship record after recording a time of 3:24.26. The relay team included Drew Chamberlain, Gabe Armstrong, Noah Cochran, and Kevin Kretz.

About the American Rivers Conference
The Conference dates back to December 8, 1922, when representatives from 12 colleges got together and formed the "Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Association." Honoring its heritage in Iowa and its expansion outside the state, the American Rivers Conference brand was established on August 9, 2018, to build on the academic and athletic success provided by its legacy, the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The A-R-C has nine full-time members: Buena Vista University, Central College, Coe College, University of Dubuque, Loras College, Luther College, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Simpson College, and Wartburg College.
