ARDEN HILLS, Minn. / WAVERLY, Iowa -- The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) football season officially came to a close on Saturday, November 29 as Coe College and Wartburg College fall in the second round of the NCAA Division III Football Playoffs.
Both games were played in wintery conditions with nearly a foot of snow falling in both game locations.
The Kohawks fell 51-26 to Bethel University and finished the season 9-3 after advancing to their third straight playoff.
The Knights fell 28-24 to Wheaton College, with a last second chance to the end zone to complete a comeback. Wartburg finishes the season 10-1 after winning their fourth consecutive A-R-C title and 21st overall.
