CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced that Luther College women’s swimming & diving student-athlete
Mia Prater and Wartburg College men’s wrestling student-athlete
Charlie Dojan have been named American Rivers Conference Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 23, 2025. The A-R-C weekly awards are nominated and voted on by the league’s sports information departments. The conference office then selects the female and male athletes of the week based upon sport performers of the week.
Female Athlete of the Week - Women’s Swimming & Diving - Performer of the Week - Mia Prater (Superior, Colo./Monarch), Luther College
- Prater set two school records and pool records at the Luther Invitational.
- Her records were in the 100 freestyle (51.51) and 100 IM (59.65).
- She picked up first in the 50 freestyle as well, with a time of 23.48, to meet the NCAA B-Cut and currently ranks eighth in the country.
- She competed in the 800 freestyle relay, 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay, 400 freestyle relay, and 400 medley relay.
Male Athlete of the Week - Men’s Wrestling - Performer of the Week - Charlie Dojan (Mounds View, Minn./Irondale), Wartburg College
- Dojan claimed the 157-pound crown at the 31st annual CUW Invite after an impressive 5-0 weekend.
- Every victory came by tech fall during the invite.
- His best performance came against No. 2-nationally ranked Adrian College wrestler and returning All-American. He won by a score of 17-0.
Men’s Basketball - Performer of the Week - Grady Thompson (Princeton, Ill./Princeton), University of Dubuque
- Thompson averaged 26 points per game and eight rebounds per game in two big road wins.
- In just 20 minutes of action versus Cornell, he was one point shy of tying a career-high with 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting.
- Playing nearly the entire game against Augustana, he finished with 24 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
Women’s Basketball - Performer of the Week - Caydee Kirkham (Carthage, Ill./Illini West), Coe College
- Kirkham had an outstanding week as she helped Coe remain undefeated as she posted back-to-back 20-point efforts.
- On Tuesday against Grinnell, Kirkham scored 21 points on 10-of-21 shooting while adding 12 rebounds. Additionally, added six assists and two steals.
- On Saturday versus Monmouth, she had a season-high 26 points, shooting 10-of-13 from the floor. She added four rebounds and three assists.
Men’s Swimming & Diving - Performer of the Week - Mattia Rosatelli (Rome, Italy/Liceo Scientifico Albert Einstein), Nebraska Wesleyan University
- Rosatelli broke his own school record in the 100 breaststroke at the Phoenix Fall Classic with a time of 55.77. He is now just one of two Prairie Wolves ever under 56 seconds.
- His time earned him the B-Final title.
- He anchored NWU’s highest finishing relay of the weekend, the 800 freestyle.
- He posted lifetime bests in both the 100 breast (55.77) and 200 breast (2:02.78) during the three-day meet.
Women’s Wrestling - Performer of the Week - Keeley Kehrli (Quasqueton, Iowa/East Buchanan), Simpson College
- Kehrli went undefeated at the Wisconsin-Eau Claire 8 Women Battles.
- She picked up wins over Buena Vista, Augsburg, St. Benedict, Augustana, and Northern Michigan.
- Kehrli showed dominance by winning by tech fall in four matches and by fall in one match.
Weekly Report
The Coe College Kohawks picked up a win in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Football Playoffs. The Kohawks will take the field against Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota this Saturday in the second round. The Wartburg College Knights will host Wheaton College in Waverly, Iowa this Saturday as the Knights take the field for the first time this postseason.
The Coe College Kohawks and University of Dubuque Spartans fell in the regional round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Tournament. The Spartans advanced to the regional semifinal before falling to WashU and the Kohawks fell in the opening round to Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Championship Central: The A-R-C takes a break from conference championship action until January now. The next championship will be women’s wrestling on January 24 in Pella, Iowa. The full 2025-26 championship calendar can be found here:
