34th Conference Title for Luther Women's Tennis; 7-0 in Conference Play with One Match to Go

STORM LAKE, Iowa -- The Luther College women's tennis team took down Buena Vista today by a score of 7-0. The Norse improved to 7-0 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) action with one match remaining tomorrow against Nebraska Wesleyan. Luther has claimed at least a share of the league title today. With a win tomorrow, Luther will claim the outright title. This is the seventh straight regular season trophy for the Norse and 34th overall. 

The Luther Norse have now earned the No. 1 seed in the A-R-C Tournament. Luther will have a first-round bye in the tournament this spring with the remaining seeds yet to be determined. The A-R-C Tournament will begin with first round action on Tuesday, April 21. The semifinals will be held Thursday, April 23 with the championship on Saturday, April 25. 

Women's tennis student-athletes will be in action next week at the A-R-C Individual Tournament. This will run Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with Coe College serving as the host.
