Loras Wins A-R-C Women’s Soccer Title, Earns NCAA AQ

17th Tournament Title in Program History

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College Duhawks claimed the 2024 American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Women’s Soccer Tournament title following an intense championship match. The nationally ranked Duhawks entered the tournament as the No. 1-seed after posting a perfect 8-0 record in league play this season and 19-0 regular season record. The match clinched Loras’ spot in the 2024 NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Tournament, claiming the conference’s automatic bid. The Duhawks earned the tournament championship for the 17th time in program history this evening. 

The Storm got on the board first with a goal from Cassie Nash on an assist from Hailey Kowzan. Loras quickly responded at the 15 minute mark when Lauren Riggle found the back of the net on an assist from Reagan Lindsay. Simpson took the lead again in the 79th when Kowzan picked up another assist to Elle Street. Belle Johnson answered for the Duhawks in the 85th minute to knot the game back up, the assist came from Lindsay again. The game-winning goal with 19 seconds remaining in the match came from Emerson Gasmann. 

Matt Pucci and his staff guided their team to another A-R-C title and NCAA Tournament. 

The Duhawks will find out their NCAA Tournament first round opponent this Monday, November 11 at 1:00p (CST). Loras was ranked No. 4 in the most recent NPI Rankings. Keep an eye on the conference website and social media for updates throughout the NCAA Tournament.
