CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced today the spring sport members of its 2022-23 All-Academic Team. Four hundred and sixty-one student-athletes from the Conference’s six spring championship sports, met the requirements for recognition.

To be eligible for All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sports of nomination, at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain an accumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).

Wartburg College led the way in total honorees with 91 student-athletes earning All-Academic recognition. Nebraska Wesleyan University placed the second highest total on the spring all-academic team with 66, followed by Central College with 57. The University of Dubuque placed 54 student-athletes on this year’s spring all-academic team to finish fourth-best. Simpson College garnered 50 honorees while Loras College recorded 44 honorees. Luther College placed 43 student-athletes on the list. Buena Vista University and Coe College rounded out the A-R-C schools each with 28 spring student-athletes named A-R-C All-Academic.

Women’s track and field led all sports with 140 honorees, followed by men’s track and field with 117. Baseball garnered 86 All-Academic honorees and softball with 64. There were 32 men's tennis student-athletes to earn this recognition and 22 men’s golf student-athletes.
