American Rivers Conference Announces 2023 Fall All-Academic Team

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced today the fall sport members of its 2023 All-Academic Team. Five hundred and eighty-eight student-athletes from the conference’s eight fall championship sports met the requirements for recognition. 
 
To be eligible for the A-R-C All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
 
Wartburg College led the way in total with 103 student-athletes earning All-Academic recognition. Central College placed the second-highest total on the fall team with 84. University of Dubuque placed 78 student-athletes on the team for the third-highest total, followed by Simpson College with 75. Nebraska Wesleyan University had the fifth-most honorees with 61 followed by Loras College with 57 for the sixth-highest total. Luther College placed 54 student-athletes on the team for the seventh-highest total, followed by Coe College with 39. Rounding out the totals is Buena Vista University with 37 honorees. 
 
Football led all sports with 116 honorees, followed by women’s soccer with 98 honorees. Men’s soccer had the third-most with 88, followed by men’s and women’s cross country both placing 70 student-athletes on the team. Volleyball saw 73 student-athletes collect All-Academic accolades, while women’s tennis earned 42. Women’s golf rounded out the fall sports honorees with 31.
