LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) revealed its 2022 NFCA Division III All-Region teams Monday, May 16, which saw 15 American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) student-athletes named All-Region IX. This year’s ten squads are comprised of a total of 384 student-athletes from 197 programs.
 
Earning first-team All-Region IX honors from the A-R-C are Buena Vista University’s Nattie Murillo (3B), Ashtyn Miller (UTL/P), Loras College’s Ashlyn Hemm (P), Simpson College’s Maddie Luderman (C), and Wartburg College’s Ella Link (DP/UTL).
 
Picking up All-Region IX second-team nods were Buena Vista’s Carlee Guyett (OF), Central College’s Emma Johnson (OF), University of Dubuque’s Rachel Trader (DP), Luther College’s Kendra Cooper (P), Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Kailey Meyer (P), and Wartburg’s Olivia Brecht (2B).
 
There were four from the A-R-C named third-team all-region; Central’s Franie Burnett (OF), Coe College’s Heather Boeckenstedt (SS), Nebraska Wesleyan’s Val Gerlach (C), and Wartburg’s Ashley Nelson (P).
 
The awards honor student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with selection to one of three teams. NFCA member coaches voted on the teams in their respective regions, and all honorees are eligible for selection to the 2022 NFCA Division III All-America squads.
 
If they were not already voted to an All-Region squad, conference Players and Pitchers of the Year from member institutions, who were nominated by their member head coaches, are added to the third team in their region.
 
The 2022 NFCA Division III All-America teams will be announced on May 24.
