It is the sixth time a Dubuque head coach has earned the honor - Maury Waugh, 1972; Don Birmingham, 1979, 1980; Don Turner, 1987; and Stan Zweifel, 2011.

2015 All-Iowa Conference Football Team
The Iowa Conference also announced the 2015 All-Iowa Conference Football Team. The 54-member team includes 24 earning at-least their second all-conference honor, including Wartburg punter Grant Zimmerman, who becomes a four-time honoree (First Team: 2012, 2014; Second Team: 2013, 2015). Dubuque linebacker Blaine Snitker, Wartburg running back Brandon Domeyer, and Buena Vista kicker/punter Tyler Stolen each earned their third all-conference honor. Snitker, in addition to being named Defensive MVP and First Team linebacker this season, was named first team in 2013 and 2014. Domeyer has earned second team running back three straight years beginning in 2013 and running through this season. Stolen moved up to first team punter after being named second team punter in 2014. Stolen also captured first-team honors at both punter and placekicker in 2013. Wartburg quarterback Logan Schrader repeated as first team and Offensive MVP.

Dubuque's five first team defenders were the most for any unit on a specific team. Dubuque and Wartburg tied with three first team offense selections. Central was the only team to place a student-athlete on all six position specific teams with one on first team offense, two on first team defense, one on first team special teams, one on second team offense, two second team defenders, and a second team special teams performer.

Undefeated conference champion Dubuque led the team totals with 14 selections - eight on first team and six on second team. The Spartans placed seven on offense, six on defense, and one on special teams. IIAC runner-up Wartburg was right on UD's heels with 13 honorees. The Knights had an even six on offense, six on defense, and a punter. Central was third with eight selections, just ahead of Simpson with seven. Buena Vista and Loras tied for fifth with four honorees. Coe with three and Luther with one selection round out the 2015 team.
