The Knights, who shattered their own championship mark by 26 strokes, placed five players in the top six and finished the tournament with a 1,248 total — 88 strokes clear of runner-up Central (1,336) and 141 clear of third-place Luther (1,389). The old record of 1,274 was set two years ago. Loras (1,438), Coe (1,482), Simpson (1,494), Buena Vista (1,625) and Dubuque (1,666) rounded out the team scoring.

Wartburg junior Rochelle Beardsley fired a final-round 80 Saturday to win her third straight individual crown, joining Simpson's Leah Willenborg (1992-93-94) and Central's Sarah Paulson (2008-09-11) as three-time medalists. Beardsley was also named the IIAC Women's Golfer of the Year for the third time, matching Simpson's Leah Willenborg (1993-94-95) and Hannah Willenborg (1997-98-99), Buena Vista's Debbie Zorn (1999-2000-01) and Paulson (2008-09-11).

Beardsley finished the tournament with a 303 total, which ranks as the second-best 72-hole mark in championship history — second only to the 300 posted by Paulson at the 2009 Championship.

Brooke Klostermann finished second (311), Taylor Roberts third (318) and Molly McDonough fourth (324) as the Knights swept the top four spots on the podium. Central's Brittany Coppess placed fifth (326) ahead of Hannah Long (328), the fifth player in Wartburg's lineup.

Central and Luther split the remaining positions in the top 10 with Central's Chrstine Ausman placing seventh (329) and Cierra Pulse ninth (340) and Luther's Madeline Petellin taking eight (337) and Meggie Acker 10th (340).

The top 10 players in the final medalist standings receive all-Iowa Conference honors.

Wartburg's Monica Severson Named IIAC Coach of the Year
Severson earned her sixth IIAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year honor on Saturday. She has been at the helm for every championship in this stretch of nine in a row for the Knights. Severson-directed squads have posted the five best 72-hole team scores in championship history and six of the top nine.

Loras College was the host institution for this year's championship. The Knights will also receive the conference's automatic berth into the 2016 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship to be held May 10-13 at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.
