MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Nine Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) football players are among those that have been named to the 2013 D3football.com All-West Region Teams.

Iowa Conference champion Wartburg placed three players on the list. Senior linebacker Ryan Billings and junior offensive tackle Chris Brinkmeier were named to the Second Team, while junior cornerback Spencer Capitani was named to the Third Team.
Coe and Central both had two selections. Both Kohawk selections -- senior offensive guard Nathan Yelton and senior defensive tackle -- were to the First Team, as was Central senior defensive end Danny Samson. Central's other all-region pick -- junior Eric Larson -- was named to the Second Team Defense as a special-teamer.
Dubuque junior wide receiver Tyler Rutenbeck (first-team offense) and Simpson senior wide receiver Brad Vogel (third-team offense) rounded out the IIAC selections.
Billings, Yelton, and Vogel all earned their second all-region honor from D3football.com. Yelton and Vogel were first-teamers last season, while Billings was on the 2012 third team.
Wisconsin-Platteville quarterback John Kelly was named the West Region Offensive Player of the Year, while Linfield linebacker Dom Forrest was named the West Region Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.
Wisconsin-Whitewater coach Lance Leipold, whose team has advanced to the national semifinals after missing the playoffs last season, is the 2013 D3football.com West Region Coach of the Year.
The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference led all West Region conferences with 27 selections, followed closely by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with 21 and the Northwest Conference with 12.
