DUBUQUE, Iowa --- Loras College extended its home unbeaten streak to 15 games Saturday with a 2-0 win over the University of Dubuque to capture the 2013 Iowa Conference Women's Soccer Tournament title and the automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship that accompanies it.
The Duhawks, who won their fourth consecutive IIAC tournament crown, ran their record to 37-0-1 over Iowa Conference competition (regular season and tournament) over that same span.
Katie Truesdale put Loras on the board in the 13th minute with an unassisted goal, her 13th of the season. Maddie Tennant netted her fifth of the year in the 32nd minute to give the Duhawks a two-goal advantage they would not concede.
Loras' Danielle Vujovic led all players with seven shots as the Duhawks held a 19-6 advantage in shots overall.
Hannah Wilson made three saves for Loras. The Duhawks were also credited with a team save.
Dubuque (16-5) was led by three shots, including two on goal, from Liz Frazier. Tiffany Duncan took the loss in net. She was credited with five saves.
Loras (17-3-1), which is ranked 20th in the latest D3soccer.com poll and tied for 25th in the NSCAA poll, will learn its initial NCAA opponent and destination when the field is announced Monday.
