High School Wheaton-Warrenville South Men’s Tennis – Player of the Week Elijah Swanstrom, Wartburg College So., Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South Swanstrom recorded a perfect performance at singles and doubles this week. The sophomore finished the week with a 2-0 record in singles and 3-0 record at doubles. Swanstrom defeated Ryan Kiddle from Dubuque, 4-6, 6-1, 10-3. He picked up his second singles victory over Central’s Travis Subbert, 7-5, 6-3. Swanstrom and Cade Davis paired up for two doubles matches earning victories over Dubuque’s Pedwar Castillo / Ryan Kiddle (8-2) and Central’s Subbert / AJ Wilkins (8-5). In his final victory of the week, Swanstrom teamed up with Kyle Sehlin to take down Javier Robles Solis / Grant Love of Simpson, 8-6. The Knights have concluded their regular season at 11-16 overall and 6-2 in A-R-C play. Wartburg has qualified for the A-R-C Men’s Tennis AQ Tournament and will face off against Loras on Tuesday afternoon. The Wheaton, Illinois native is collecting his first career Men’s Tennis Player of the Week honor.
