High School Verona Area Men’s Outdoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Jatavion Hawkins, University of Dubuque Sr., Fitchburg, Wis./Verona Area Hawkins competed at the Wisconsin-Platteville Invitational on Saturday. He competed in high jump where he recorded a mark of 2.06 meters. The senior finished first out of 29 competitors. This mark places Hawkins tied-sixth in Division III this outdoor season. There were no team results. The Spartans are scheduled to compete this Saturday at the DeBacker Invitational hosted by Mount Mercy and the Musco Twilight at the University of Iowa. This is the first time in Hawkins’ career he is earning Men’s Outdoor Field Performer of the Week. Additionally, he has been named Men’s Indoor Field Performer of the Week twice in his career (2/21/22, 2/19/24).
