Emma Beck Award Pitcher of the Week Week Of 4/15/2024 Sport Softball School Central College Year Sophomore Position Hometown Holland, Iowa High School Grundy Center Softball – Pitcher Player of the Week Emma Beck, Central College So., P, Grundy Center, Iowa/Grundy Center Beck pushed her overall record to 7-4 on the season after picking up wins in the circle over Wartburg (8-0) and Dubuque (10-2). The sophomore was able to finish off both of her wins in just five innings of work. She completed a shutout win over Wartburg allowing four hits, three walks, and recorded two strikeouts. Beck earned the win over Dubuque after allowing just three hits, two earned runs, and two strikeouts. During her appearances, she allowed seven hits on 44 batters faced, recording an earned run average of 1.80. The No. 24-ranked Dutch are now 19-6 overall and a perfect 6-0 in A-R-C action. Central will face Simpson on Saturday. The Grundy Center, Iowa native is garnering her third Pitcher of the Week recognition of her career (3/13/23, 4/17/23, 4/15/24).
