Kaitlyn Wilder Award Field Performer of the Week (Women) Week Of 4/8/2024 Sport Outdoor Track & Field School University of Dubuque Year Graduate Student Position Throws Hometown Dunkerton, Iowa High School Dunkerton Women’s Outdoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Kaitlyn Wilder, University of Dubuque Gr., Dunkerton, Iowa/Dunkerton The University of Dubuque Spartans hosted the Mississippi River Rumble over this past weekend where they took home the team title. Wilder won the trifecta in the discus, hammer, and shot put. On her sixth and final throw, Wilder tossed 44.80 meters to win the discus event. Her mark was over a meter longer than the runner-up finisher. In her first outdoor hammer throw competition, Wilder took the title with a throw of 53.17 meters. In the shot put Wilder finished second with a toss of 13.67 meters, finishing behind an unattached Division I student-athlete. This mark sits at the top of the Division III Outdoor Performance List this season. The Spartans are back in action this weekend as they travel across the river to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Invitational. The Dunkerton native is collecting her fourth-career Women’s Outdoor Field Performer of the week honors (4/8/24, 4/19/22, 4/11/22, 4/4/22). Additionally, Wilder has earned Indoor Field Performer of the Week accolades five times in her career (2/11/24, 1/22/24, 1/23/23, 2/7/22, 2/22/21).
