Max Cleveland Award Track Performer of the Week (Men) Week Of 4/8/2024 Sport Outdoor Track & Field School Simpson College Year Senior Position Hometown Indianola, Iowa High School Indianola Men’s Outdoor Track & Field – Track Performer of the Week Max Cleveland, Simpson College Sr., Indianola, Iowa/Indianola Cleveland competed at the Wartburg Outdoor Select in Waverly, Iowa. The Storm finished fifth out of ten teams at the event. The senior competed in two events, 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles. In the 110-meter hurdles, Cleveland recorded a time of 14.42 to finish first. Finishing second in the 400-meter hurdles, he posted a time of 55.18. He set a personal best in the 110-meter hurdles and currently ranks ninth among Division III competitors this season. Simpson is back in action in a few locations this weekend competing at the Wisconsin-Platteville Invite and Jim Duncan Invitational hosted by Drake. The Indianola, Iowa native picking up his first career Outdoor Track Performer of the Week honor. Additionally, Cleveland was named Men’s Indoor Track Performer of the Week once in his career (1/30/23).
