Game 1: Dubuque 0, No. 8 Aurora 1 – 1-for-4 (.250), six putouts Game 2: Dubuque 13, Wheaton 3 – 4-for-4 (1.000), 5 RBI, 3 runs, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 walk, 6 putouts Game 3: Dubuque 13, St. Mary’s 3 – 2-for-5 (.400), 1 run, 1 2B Elfering started all three games including earning a win on the mound over St. Mary’s. The junior posted a .538 batting average over the three games bringing in a total of five runners and scoring four times himself. Dubuque is now 11-3 overall. The Spartans will next be in action on Tuesday when they face Augustana ahead of conference action. The Bird Island, Minnesota native is collecting his first career Position Player of the Week honor.
