Olivia Engler Award Pitcher of the Week Week Of 3/4/2024 Sport Softball School Luther College Year Junior Position Pitcher Hometown Atlantic, Iowa High School Atlantic Softball – Pitcher Player of the Week Olivia Engler, Luther College Jr., P, Atlantic, Iowa/Atlantic Engler and the Norse recorded a 1-1 week at the Rochester Dome Games. Luther first picked up a win over Grinnell in eight innings (2-1). Engler completed seven innings of work only allowing one hit and no runs to be scored. She recorded five strikeouts on 23 batters faced while giving up four walks. This win is going down as her first win in the circle in her collegiate career. In game two, the Norse fell to Macalester College, 3-2. Engler came in the final two innings, allowing three hits. She had one strikeout and again gave up no earned runs during her time on the mound. Luther is now 1-3 on the season as they prepare to head south for The Spring Games March 16 through March 23 in Clearmont, Florida. Engler is picking up her first career Pitcher of the Week recognition.
