The Spartans defeated Alma (7-1) and St. Norbert (5-0) with Jaeger on the mound this week. In seven innings on the mound against Alma, the senior tossed six strikeouts while giving up one earned run. The senior was on the mound for 7.1 innings against St. Norbert on their home field where he racked up 11 strikeouts. He gave up no earned runs to the Green Knights. On the week, he was on the mound for 14.1 innings allowing seven hits, one earned run, 17 strikeouts, and two walks while facing 50 batters and throwing 201 total pitches. Jaeger and the Spartans are back on the field March 15-16 when they travel to the Wheaton Invitational before kicking off conference play. The Dubuque, Iowa native is garnering his first career Pitcher of the Week accolade and first since 2019 for the University of Dubuque.
