Deyton Love Award Male Athlete of the Week Week Of 2/19/2024 Sport American Rivers Conference School Wartburg College Year Senior Position Hometown Waterloo, Iowa High School West Male Athlete of the Week – Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Track Performer of the Week Deyton Love, Wartburg College Sr., Waterloo, Iowa/Waterloo West Love and the Wartburg Knights competed at the Indoor Eagle Invite hosted by UW-La Crosse on Friday and the Liz Wuertz Invite hosted by Wartburg on Saturday. The Knights finished fifth out of 12 teams at UW-La Crosse with 48 points and first out of six teams at home with 251 points. At UW-La Crosse, Love competed in the long jump. He finished first with a mark of 7.15m. At home on Saturday, he ran in the 60m hurdles and finished first with a time of 8.08. His 60m hurdles time currently ranks eighth in Division III this season. The Knights and Love will be back on the track this upcoming weekend one of the countries top conference championships at the University of Dubuque. This marks the Waterloo, Iowa native’s first career Indoor Track Performer of the Week honor.
