Jaedon Murphy Award Female Athlete of the Week Week Of 2/19/2024 Sport American Rivers Conference School Wartburg College Year Senior Position Hometown Alleman, Iowa High School North Polk Female Athlete of the Week – Women’s Basketball – Player of the Week Jaedon Murphy, Wartburg College Sr., F, Alleman, Iowa/North Polk Murphy led the Knights to a 77-68 win over the Kohawks to lock up a perfect conference regular season record. The senior shot 44% from the field and 82% from the line during the game. She recorded 25 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Additionally, Murphy had two steals, two blocks, and one assist. The No. 6/7 Knights earned the No. 1-seed in the 2024 A-R-C Tournament after winning their 11th regular season title. Wartburg finished the regular season with a 23-2 overall record and 16-0 conference record. The Knights will be back on the hardwood on Thursday, February 22 when they face either Dubuque or Simpson in the semifinal round of the A-R-C Tournament. Murphy has earned first-team All-Conference honors the last two seasons. The Alleman, Iowa native is collecting her second career Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honor (11/22/21, 2/19/24).
