Lexi Brown Award Female Athlete of the Week Week Of 1/22/2024 Sport American Rivers Conference School Wartburg College Year Position Hometown New London, Iowa High School New London Junior-Senior Female Athlete of the Week – Women’s Indoor Track & Field – Track Performer of the Week Lexi Brown, Wartburg College Sr., New London, Iowa/New London Junior-Senior Brown competed at the Cyclone Open on Friday, January 19 as hosted by Iowa State University. The senior crossed the line first in the 3,000-meter race with a time of 9:43.00, ahead of numerous Division I student-athletes. Her time tops the TFRRS list for Division III in the 3,000-meter, by just over five seconds. There were no team scores kept at the Cyclone Open. Brown and the Knights will be back on the track on Friday, January 26 when they host the Friday Knight Lights in Waverly. During the 2023 indoor season, Brown was the national champion in the mile, while finishing 16th in the 3,000-meter race. The New London, Iowa native is picking up her second career Indoor Track Performer of the Week honor (1/23/23, 1/22/24).
