Kaitlyn Wilder Award Field Performer of the Week (Women) Week Of 1/22/2024 Sport Indoor Track & Field School University of Dubuque Year Graduate Student Position Throws Hometown Dunkerton, Iowa High School Dunkerton Women’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Kaitlyn Wilder, University of Dubuque Gr., Dunkerton, Iowa/Dunkerton The University of Dubuque Spartans competed at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational hosted by the University of Iowa on Friday before competing in their first home meet of the season, the Moco Mercer Challenge. There were no team scores kept at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational. The Spartans placed second at their home meet, collecting 121 team points. Wilder placed third in the shot put on Friday, competing among Division I student-athletes. The graduate student had a mark of 13.50 meters. In the weight throw on Friday, Wilder placed seventh out of 18 competitors, including Division I student-athletes. Wilder had a mark of 17.48 meters, which currently sits in seventh on the TFRRS list for Division III. Wilder continued her season on Saturday as she placed first in the shot put (13.60 meters). This mark is currently tied for sixth in Division III. The graduate student picked up a third-place finish in the weight throw on Saturday as she posted a mark of 16.66 meters. The Dunkerton native is picking up her fourth-career Indoor Field Performer of the Week honor (1/22/24, 1/23/23, 2/7/22, 2/22/21). Additionally, Wilder has earned Outdoor Field Performer of the Week accolades three times in her career (4/4/22, 4/11/22, 4/19/22).
