High School Lincoln East Men’s Swim & Dive – Performer of the Week Cael Dice, Nebraska Wesleyan University Sr., Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln East At the Grinnell Invitational, Dice helped guide the Prairie Wolves to finish in fourth place. Dice picked up three wins on the weekend while competing against Grinnell, Saint Ambrose, Augustana (Ill.), Luther, Simpson, and Coe. In the 100-yard backstroke, he finished first out of ten with a team of 50.63 to set a meet record. Following one meet record with another, he finished first in the 100-yard IM with a time of 52.80. In a team effort in the 200-yard freestyle relay, the P-Wolf quad hit the wall with a time of 1:29.29 to finish sixth out of 18. Dice competed in the 400-yard medley relay where they finished fourth out of 16 with a time of 3:35.74. The senior found himself finishing first, again, in the 100-yard butterfly, recording a time of 50.60. The NWU 200-yard medley relay finished runner-up posting a time of 1:34.59. In Dice’s final event, he swam with the 400-yard freestyle relay team to finish with a time of 3:13.89 to finish in fourth place. Dice and the Prairie Wolves will be back in the pool on January 27 when they dual Saint Mary (Kan.) as they gear up for the A-R-C Championship in February. The Lincoln, Nebraska native is earning his third career Performer of the Week honor (10/23/23, 10/30/23, 1/22/24).
