High School Delavan Women’s Basketball – Player of the Week Megan Teal, University of Dubuque Sr., G, Delavan, Ill./Delavan Teal led the Spartans to a 1-1 week in conference action. Dubuque put up quite the fight with No. 23/19-ranked Loras College on Wednesday to begin the week, but fell just short (58-56). Teal had a season-high of 26 points against the Duhawks shooting 58% from the field (11-for-19). Additionally, she grabbed four rebounds, two assists, and one steal in the loss. On Saturday, the Spartans faced Simpson and picked up an exciting double overtime victory (83-76). The senior recorded a double-double in the win with 11 points and 11 rebounds. The Spartans improved their record to 11-7 overall and 5-4 in league play. Dubuque will be back on the court this week when they travel to Lincoln, Nebraska to face Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday and host Luther on Saturday. This marks the Delavan, Illinois native’s first career Player of the Week honor.
