Kretz picked up two wins in three events he competed in at the dual. In the 50-yard freestyle, Kretz hit the wall with a time of 22.61 to finish first. The junior finished fastest in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.24. In his final event, the 200-yard freestyle relay finished second with a time of 1:33.48. The Norse will be back in the pool on January 13 when they host the Norse Sprint Invite. Kretz was named Swimmer of the Meet at the 2023 A-R-C Championship. The Fairfield, Iowa native is garnering his second Performer of the Week honor (11/14/22, 1/8/24).
