Men’s Basketball – Player of the Week

- McCants led the (RV) University of Dubuque Spartans to a 4-0 stretch over the holiday break to stay undefeated at 11-0 on the season.
- The (RV) Spartans won the Hoops in Hawaii Classic with wins over 2023 NCAA Tournament participant, Whitworth University (71-58) and Lewis & Clark College (84-68).
- McCants was named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament.
- The (RV) Dubuque Spartans continued their streak, winning the St. Norbert Nicolet National Bank Holiday Tournament with wins over UW-Superior (77-64) and St. Norbert College (83-73).
- McCants was named to the All-Tournament team.
- Over the course of the four games, the junior guard averaged 22.5 points per game and 8.25 rebounds per game.
- Additionally, McCants recorded nine assists and nine steals.
- With an 11-0 start to the season, the (RV) Dubuque Spartans have the fourth best start in school history.
- (RV) Dubuque sits with a 3-0 record in conference play as they head into a week where they host Wartburg College and Buena Vista University.
- McCants earned first-team All-Conference honors a season ago after being named to second team during his freshman campaign.
- This is the Galesburg, Illinois native’s third time earning Player of the Week honors in his career (1/2/24, 11/21/23, 12/12/22).
