High School Irondale Male Athlete of the Week – Wrestling - Wrestler of the Week Charlie Dojan, Wartburg College Jr., Mounds View, Minn./Irondale Dojan finished first in the 149lb bracket at the Concordia University-Wisconsin Open on Saturday. The junior posted a 5-0 record on the day with one fall and three tech falls. The Mounds View, Minnesota native opened the first-round defeating Elmhurst’s Erwin Morales by tech fall (16-1). Dojan moved on to defeat Tyler Starr of North Central College by fall (2:40) in the second round. In the quarterfinal round, the junior defeated University of Chicago’s Brendan Connolly by tech fall (15-0). Dojan advanced to the championship bout after defeating Blake McGee of Wabash by tech fall (17-0). In the finals, Dojan won by decision (6-4) over #6 Daniel Uribe of Wabash. The junior for the Knights is earning Wrestler of the Week honors for the first time in his career.
