Kaalyn Petersen Award Player of the Week Week Of 11/21/2023 Sport Women's Basketball School Coe College Year Senior Position Forward Hometown Davenport, Iowa High School Bettendorf Women’s Basketball – Player of the Week Kaalyn Petersen, Coe College Sr., F, Davenport, Iowa/Bettendorf Peterson averaged a double-double last week for Coe as they picked up wins over Knox College (77-72) and Grinnell College (73-63). The senior forward totaled 29 points in the two games, scoring 13 and 16 points in the pair of victories. Petersen began the week scoring 13 points versus Knox, shooting 50% from the field, while also totaling ten rebounds, one steal, and one block. Against Grinnell, Petersen had 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. She recorded two blocks in this one, too. The Kohawks are back on the court tonight, Tuesday, November 21, as they take on the defending A-R-C tournament champions, Loras. Coe has begun their season on a perfect 4-0 start heading into league play. Petersen was a 2022-23 first-team All-Conference performer after earning honorable mention during the 2021-22 season. This marks the Davenport, Iowa native’s second-career Player of the Week honor (12/5/22).
