High School Illini West Women’s Basketball – Player of the Week Caydee Kirkham, Coe College So., G, Carthage, Ill./Illini West Kirkham led the Coe College Kohawks to a 2-0 start to their 2023-2024 season. The sophomore guard totaled 46 points in the first two games of the season, scoring 18 and 28 points in the pair of victories. Kirkham started the week scoring 18 points in the 76-51 win over Cornell College. The Carthage, Illinois native went 5-for-11 from the field with seven assists, six rebounds, and two steals. The shifty guard then scored 28 points in a 76-54 win at Monmouth, going 13-for-21 from the floor and 2-for-4 from behind the arc. Kirkham added six assists, two steals, two rebounds, and one block. The Kohawks are back on the court Tuesday when they host Augustana (Ill.) in a non-conference match up. Kirkham is a 2022-2023 First Team All-Conference honoree. This is the second time Kirkham has earned Player of the Week accolades in her career (11/13/23, 1/9/23).
