High School Wauconda Women’s Soccer – Offensive Player of the Week Savannah Johnson, Loras College Sr., F, Wauconda, Ill./Wauconda Johnson led the Loras College Duhawks to an important 2-0 week in the final race to the conference championship with wins over Wartburg (5-0) and Simpson (2-0). The senior recorded seven points in the win over the Knights, which included three goals and one assist for a hat trick. Additionally, she added another goal in the win over Simpson, to bring her total point total for the week to nine. Johnson currently leads the league in goals (9), game-winning goals (3), and points (21) during conference contests this season. Loras moves to 12-1 overall and 5-0 in league play, as they sit atop the standings in the conference. The Duhawks will be on the pitch twice this week as they travel to Luther on Wednesday and host Coe on Saturday for senior night. Johnson is a 2022 Honorable Mention performer. The Wauconda, Illinois native is garnering her second Offensive Player of the Week award in her career (10/2/23, 10/16/23).
