Caleb Silver Award Runner of the Week (Men) Week Of 10/16/2023 Sport Cross Country School Central College Year Position Hometown Conrad, Iowa High School BCLUW Men’s Cross Country – Runner of the Week Caleb Silver, Central College Fifth Year, Conrad, Iowa/BCLUW Silver crossed the finish line first at the Connecticut College Invitational Blue on Saturday out of 209 runners. Not only did the fifth year cross the finish line first, but he did so in record setting fashion for the Dutch recoding a time of 24:13.4 on the 8,000-meter course. He finished 4.2 seconds ahead of second place to lead No. 26-ranked Central to a third-place team finish out of 26 teams, with 128 points. The Dutch head to Rock Island, Illinois on Saturday for the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational for their final preparation before the A-R-C Championship on October 28. Silver earned All-Conference honors during the 2021 championship and All-American honors in 2022. The Conrad, Iowa native is garnering his second-career Runner of the Week honor (9/27/21, 10/16/23).
