Westholder, a sophomore from Edina, Minnesota is the ninth Luther player to earn MVP honors, joining Rolf Wulfsberg (1967-1969), Bob Frost (1971, 1973-1974), Jeff Renken (1975-1976), Tom Wolte (1987), Sujay Lama (1989-1992), Chris Rovn (1993, 1995), Christian Klein (2006), Max Busch (2007), and Scott Sundstrom (2009, 2011-2012). The Edina prep earned his way to the All-Conference singles and doubles teams for the second-consecutive year in addition to picking up his first MVP accolades. The sophomore tallied an overall record of 13-4 at No. 1 singles, while maintaining a perfect 4-0 record within league play. In doubles play, he finished 4-1 against conference competition, teaming up with Max Loen (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) at No. 1.
