Cade Collier Award Male Athlete of the Week Week Of 5/15/2023 Sport Outdoor Track & Field School University of Dubuque Year Senior Position Throws Hometown Le Claire, Iowa High School Pleasant Valley Co-Male Athletes of the Week – Men’s Outdoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Cade Collier, University of Dubuque Sr., Le Claire, Iowa/Pleasant Valley Collier and the No. 16-nationall ranked Dubuque Spartans competed at the A-R-C Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend, where he claimed all-conference honors in two events, earning the 2023 Most Valuable Field Performer. The senior set a new conference championship record in the hammer throw with a mark of 59.24 meters to claim a gold medal. Collier picked up another individual title in the shot put after a mark of 15.76 meters. Additionally, Collier scored team points after a seventh-place finish in the discus with a throw of 41.92 meters. The LeClaire native collected his fourth-career Outdoor Field Performer of the Week accolade (5/15/23, 5/9/22, 5/2/22, 4/19/22).
