High School Willowbrook Baseball – Pitcher of the Week Max Vaisvila, Loras College Fr., LHP, Villa Park, Ill./Willowbrook Vaisvila and the Loras College Duhawks went 3-1 during the week including taking the series against the Luther College Norse. The first year left hander pitched 6.0 innings in the teams only loss on the week. In his six innings on the mount, Vaisvila struck out a career-high 12 batters while allowing just five hits and giving up no runs. In the top of the sixth inning, Vaisvila escaped a no-out, bases loaded jam with a pair of strikeouts and a ground out that kept the game scoreless. Vaisvila faced 26 batters while holding the Norse to a .217 batting average. The Loras Duhawks improved to 24-13 overall and 14-7 in league play. The Villa Park, Illinois native is garnering his first-career Pitcher of the Week honor.
