The senior outfielder hit .500 on the week and led the team with six RBIs. Harris recorded multiple hits in each of the four games during the week. Highlights from this week included a big 2-run single in the bottom of the first to bring the Beavers within two runs of the Kohawks and later recording a game-tying RBI single in the fifth inning. Harris extended his overall hit streak to five games and has hit safely in 10 of his last 11. Game 1: Buena Vista 11, Nebraska Wesleyan 1 (7 inn.) – 2-for-4 (.500), R, 2 RBI Game 2: Buena Vista 12, Coe 2 (8 inn.) – 2-for-4 (.500), R, HBP, 2 Putouts Game 3: Buena Vista 11, Coe 6 – 3-for-5 (.600), R, RBI, 2B, 4 Putouts Game 4: Buena Vista 9, Coe 6 – 2-for-5 (.400), 3 RBI, 1.0 IP, 1 K Additionally, Harris came on to pitch the ninth inning in BVU’s 9-6 victory over Coe on Saturday morning, earning his 15th career save. Buena Vista improved to 24-5 overall and 15-1 in league play. The Beavers will take the field on Tuesday, April 18 in Pella for the third game of the three-game series against Central. Harris is a two-time Second Team All-Conference performer. The Altoona native is collecting his first career Position Player of the Week honor.
